A Story of the Forest

This story was written for my website in 1999 after dragging my mother to the pine forest
so I could lie on my stomach to photograph the wonderful collection of toadstools.
I returned next day with my (now) husband, to show him how wonderful they were that season.
But there was a story emerging................

For the first time, the Story of the Forest , written in 1999, was produced in hard copy.
The cover was a combination of Thai handmade paper and my own, with a small lino print.

The wanton destruction of the toadstools upset me so much that I felt I needed to write about it.
I have received many messages of emphathy and sadness following the appearance on the web in 1999.
The photos aren't brilliant, and my drawings are no better today than they were then, but I thought
it was worthy of a place in my collection of books.
